Jaeger-LeCoultre, in partnership with Finch & Partners, will award acclaimed filmmaker Gus Van Sant on May 15th during the Annual Filmmakers dinner, hosted by Charles Finch.
“Gus is a huge talent, it’s with great pleasure that we honour his achievements this year and with great anticipation that we wait to see his next work,” said Charles Finch.
Palme d’or winner in 2003 for his drama movie Elephant, Gus Van Sant is nominated this year for his movie The Sea of Trees. It is one of the most anticipated films in Cannes.
Now in its 7th year, the Annual Filmmakers Dinner, held at the Hotel du Cap, continues to develop into one of the most important events during the Cannes Film Festival.
Previous recipients of the Filmmakers Award have included remarkable Oscar-winning filmmakers Alfonso Cuaron, Christopher Hampton and Bernardo Bertulluci.
The dinner draws together some of the film industry’s most talented and celebrated individuals, during which the Filmmakers Award is presented.
Also, for the first time, guests will be able to enjoy ‘The Art of Behind The Scenes’ exhibition – a photographic exhibition showcasing pictures from some of the world’s most accomplished ‘on-set’ photographers, produced by Finch & Partners and Jaeger-LeCoultre.
