“Thor: Love And Thunder” Will Get A “Disney+ Day” Premiere

The latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor will get a Disney+ Day premiere in September. The film, which also stars Christian Bale, Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson, will debut on the streaming platform alongside a number of other new movies including Pinocchio.

Other titles appearing for the first time on Disney+ are Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return, Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder,  Remembering, Tierra Incógnita, Dancing with the Stars: The Pros’ Most Memorable Dances, the Frozen and Frozen 2 Sing-Alongs, and a new short from The Simpsons called Welcome to the Club.

Thor: Love and Thunder is the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is a sequel to Thor: Ragnarok. The film, which will begin streaming on September 8, is once again directed by Taika Waititi, who co-wrote the script with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be joined on Disney+ by the Robert Zemeckis live action version of Pinocchio starring Tom Hanks. The Forrest Gump star appears as Geppetto, the wood carver who builds and treats Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) as if he were his own son.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Jiminy Cricket, who serves as Pinocchio’s guide as well as his “conscience”; Academy Award® nominee Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key is “Honest” John; Academy Award® nominee Lorraine Bracco is Sofia the Seagull, a new character, and Luke Evans is The Coachman.
