When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he’s part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he’s ever known, he learns he’s part of a government experiment called the “Source Code,” a program that enables him to cross over into another man’s identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack.

Filled with mind-boggling twists and heart-pounding suspense, Source Code is a smart action-thriller directed by Duncan Jones (Moon) also starring Michelle Monaghan (Eagle Eye, Due Date), Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air, The Departed), and Jeffrey Wright (Quantum of Solace, Syriana).

Source Code is released in UK cinemas on the 1st April

Sorry to be a gloomy gus Dan but I have zero interest in this, never been a fan of Gyllenhaal. I do like Vera a lot though but I’d rather support her smaller endeavor, such as her directing debut Higher Ground.

I’m not a huge fan of him either but I do like the concept of Source Code. I’m not saying it’ll be any good but it does remind me of Quantum Leap and I’m a big fan of that show – “Oh boy!”

Ah I see. Oh I like Quantum Leap too, very entertaining and funny, which I’m not sure you can say about this one. If they had a different cast I might see it, alas…

Yes, this one doesn’t have the humour, that’s for sure. But have you seen the trailer – when he looks in the mirror and he sees he’s in the body of a different man – straight out of Quantum Leap! It made me think – we need a Quantum Leap movie with Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell cast in their original roles. I can’t remember how the series was finished – did he return home in the end?
