If you haven’t seen the last episode of Game of Thrones yet, stop reading now as spoilers are coming. But love it or hate it, fans have not been able to stop talking about it.
After 8 seasons, Game of Thrones has finally come to an end, as fans got to see who ended up on the Iron Throne. And it seems as though people aren’t happy with how things turned out. As of Tuesday morning, the season 8 finale was the worst rated episode in the show’s history, with an IMDb rating of just 4.4 out of 10.
Love it or hate it, fans couldn’t stop talking about it. ‘The Iron Throne’ was the second most talked about Game of Thrones episode ever, with fans sharing 4,607,632 tweets about the finale, according to research from musicMagpie
(The only episode to create more conversation was S8 E3, ‘The Long Night’, which received 4,825,691 tweets.)
Despite the poor reviews, the conversation surrounding the season 8 finale wasn’t all negative. In fact, 23% of the conversation was positive, which is the same as the season 8 premiere.
However, Twitter wasn’t happy with who ended up sitting on the Iron Throne. There were 287,985 tweets posted about Bran, with 72% of them being sad and only 17% being joyous. Not that surprising, considering he was one of the most hated characters according to Twitter.
