Sky Cinema Unveils Trailer For True-Life Thriller “Hotel Mumbai”

Sky Cinema unveils its new trailer for Hotel Mumbai, a true life thriller based on the terrorist attack of November 26, 2008 in the Indian city. The film sees guests and staff of the iconic Taj Palace Hotel fight for survival over the course of a day they will never forget.

Hotel Mumbai, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2018, will be released in the UK on Sky Cinema TV and in cinemas simultaneously. The international co-production is directed and co-written by Anthony Maras and is based on the 2009 documentary Surviving Mumbai about the Mumbai attacks of 2008. The terrorist atrocity took place at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India.

The film, which will be released theatrically in Australia and the United States on March 14 and March 29 respectively, stars Dev Patel, Armie Hammer, Nazanin Boniadi, Anupam Kher, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Jason Isaacs, Suhail Nayyar and Natasha Liu Bordizzo and focuses on the victims and survivors of the 2008 Mumbai hotel attack.

Taking place on the day of the atrocity, Hotel Mumbai sees Jihadist terrorists laid siege to the iconic Taj Palace Hotel in the heart of the city’s tourist district. Here innocent guests and staff became trapped in a heroic, day-long fight for survival.
