We are forever grateful to J.K Rowling for introducing us Harry Potter and all the other fascinating characters in the book series. Movie makers presented them to us on screens and game designers took it a notch higher and made games to make us even more hooked to the drama.

1. Clue Harry Potter Board Game

Set in the infamous Hogwarts magic school where one of the students mysteriously disappears and it’s up to you the player to uncover the mystery. You can choose the character you want to play as either Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Ron, Neville or Luna and find out who committed the crime, where it took place and what spell was used. Even if you’re not a fan, but love board games, this will definitely impress you.

2. Harry Potter: Magical Beasts Game

The objective of the game is to obtain four cards corresponding to one beast. The player takes a character of their choice between Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, Ron, and Ginny Weasley and ‘hunts’ for the magical beasts. The game is played by rolling a dice which correspond to the number of moves a player can make. Depending on the tile a player lands on, a player picks a card from the pile and is placed face down. If the same player gets another card of the same type, it’s placed on top of the other. The dice faces are numbered 2-6 with the one side labeled ‘P’. When it lands on ‘P’, the player goes to a passage of his choice.

3. Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle: A Cooperative Deck Building Game

Again, taking the roles of either one of the major characters of the series, your objective is to tackle villains and to protect the Hogwarts school. Suitable for 2-4 players who cooperatively build a deck and attack villains with items, spells, and companions. In the game box, there are seven sets of cards, each set corresponding to a book and difficulty increases as you move along the sets. Once you’re done with a set, you can move on to the next one even if you didn’t complete all your objectives.

4. Trivial Pursuit: World of Harry Potter

For the intellectuals, this trivia game will just literally blow your mind as it tests your knowledge of the Harry Potter universe. With over 600 questions on every aspect of the story of Hogwarts, magic spells, dark arts, potions you name it, you really have to know your stuff to play this well. You answer the questions as you move around the board and with every true answer you collect wedges. This is a fun game to play with friends and have a good time as you each contribute your knowledge.

Even though the list of games is endless, these four have proven to be popular among fans. However, like it was mentioned before in the article, they’re not for Harry Potter fans only, anyone who generally likes games that challenge their mind can try them and have a good time.
