Get ready for more vengeful carnage at the hands of all-conquering Liam Neeson as the Taken star is spurred into action after his son is murdered in Cold Pursuit.
Liam Neeson is back in the latest vengeful outing for the Taken star. In Cold Pursuit, the actor who has enjoyed something of a renaissance since becoming Hollywood’s new 21st century update of philanthropic butt-kicker John McClane, gets the chance to flex his muscles after the bad guys light a fuse under his proverbial backside when they unwisely murder his son in Hans Petter Moland’s upcoming film.
Joined in the cast by Emmy Rossum, Tom Bateman, William Forsythe and Laura Dern, Neeson’s seemingly mild-mannered town snowplough driver, Nels Coxman, is forced into action after Viking, Tom Bateman’s flamboyant drug lord orders the killing of his son.
His fuse lit by rage, Nels draws on his experience with heavy machinery to go to war with the local drug cartel, one victim at a time. Inadvertently starting a turf war between Viking and White Bull (Tom Jackson), the body count continues to mount up in the snowy falls of Kehoe, a glitzy ski resort turned into a battleground.
A loose English-language remake of Norway’s In Order of Disappearance (also directed by Moland), Cold Pursuit hopes to give Neeson another powerful stage to wield his action-star persona.
The film will arrive in UK cinemas on February 22, 2019.
