The lazy, scruffy, unemployed dressing gown-wearing, White Russian-drinking, bowling aficionado with a love of rugs, Jeff Lebowski, is heading back into UK cinemas September 24 to celebrate The Big Lebowski’s 20th anniversary.
Park Circus, to celebrate The Big Lebowski’s 20th anniversary, has announced it will re-release the Coen brothers’ brilliant cult classic from 1998 back in cinemas from September 24.
A hilarious, twisted comedy from the offbeat imaginations of writer-directors Joel and Ethan Coen, The Big Lebowski features an ensemble of actors including Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Tuturro who have rarely been better (or funnier).
Join Bridges’ drunken buffoon “the Dude”, his White Russian, and his bowling buddies for a case of mistaken identity in this visually unforgettable, endlessly funny comedy that ranks as one of the best films the Coens have ever made.
The film sees Jeff Lebowski, a scruffy, lazy, unemployed bum, mistakenly robbed by a group thinking he’s a millionaire of the same name. Annoyed that his carpet has been soiled by the bad guys, Jeff pays a visit to his namesake to get compensation. This unwittingly sets into motion a stream of unfortunate, uncontrollable and often hilarious events.
The Big Lebowski will be released in the UK from September 24 with Park Circus screening the film in cinemas at selected international locations throughout 2018.
