Terminator 2 I'd argue it's not scifi horror without (1) Scientists, engineers, or technicians playing a key plot role, and (2) intentional scares forming a major part of the movie. I'll defend ROTLD as Scifi, and I'll defend The Matrix as horror. Cronenberg is awesome (Scanners is underrated perfection, particularly the 1st two acts) but I could justify knocking any of those other movies out to put him in the top 10. I toyed with putting Dead Space in there, as that universe is the ultimate pander to my entertainment aesthetics, but I don't think I can justify it as "film". Also there are several Resident Evil movies I'd put in the top 10, but once again, they're a major pander to my aesthetic taste, more so than being great films. 1. 12 Monkeys

In fact, I probably prefer it to the remake of The Thing, and maybe even - despite being a massive Cronenberg fan - The Fly. Alien definitely deserves it's #1, though.
