The Oscars 2013 took place last night in Los Angeles. We take a look at the winners with Argo, director Ang Lee, and actors Daniel Day-Lewis and Jennifer Lawrence bagging the top prizes.
Best Picture – Argo
Best Director – Ang Lee (Life of Pi)
Best Actor – Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln)
Best Actress – Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook)
Best Supporting Actor – Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained)
Best Supporting Actress – Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables)
Best Original Screenplay – Quentin Tarantino (Django Unchained)
Best Adapted Screenplay – Chris Terrio (Argo)
Best Original Score – Mychael Danna (Life Of Pi)
Best Original Song – “Skyfall” (Performed by Adele)
Best Foreign Language Feature – Amour
Other Oscars went to Brave (Best Animated Feature), Searching for Sugarman (Best Documentary Feature), Lincoln (Best Production Design) and Zero Dark Thirty and Skyfall who shared the Best Sound Editing gong. There were also more awards for Life of Pi (Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography), Argo (Best Film Editing), and Les Miserables (Best Makeup & Hairstyling, Best Sound Mixing). Rounding out the awards were Oscars for Inocente for Best Live Action Short, Paperman for Best Animated Short, Lincoln for Best Production Design, and Anna Karenina for Best Costume Design.
