MDF #2 is werewolf night! And what better werewolf movies to enjoy than the Granddaddies of the genre. John Landis gives us horror and humour with cutting edge make-up effects, a classic rock soundtrack making use of as many songs as possible featuring the word ‘moon’, while Joe Dante satirises the media with his wry homage to the genre’s more traditional roots. With this Double Feature you’ll see the best werewolf transformation and the campiest werewolf – can you guess which film features which werewolf?

I’ll admit I didn’t find AAWWIL all that frightening the first time I watched it. I haven’t seen The Howling yet, probably because the wife doesn’t like that kind of stuff in the house. I’ll have to wait until she goes on a trip away to get a chance to watch it…
