Give Roxanne another chance Heather!

…and, Sgt. Bilko, I thought I was the only one who liked that film. Still, I couldn’t find a place for it on this list. Parenthood is another one that I like, in fact, it was probably the closest to getting into this top 10 out of all his other movies. Three Amigoes will be making another appearance on my John Landis list.

I love Planes, Trains, and Automobiles being #1 but The Three Amigos is my favorite Steve Martin of all time. It was good to see Bowfinger and The Jerk on the list too.

However I’ve never loved Roxanne. I would have put Parenthood in it’s place or even Sgt. Bilko.

Hmm, I’d have swapped Planes,Trains with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, but then, that just semantics. Those two films deserve a place at the top of the list!!!

Cheers Rob. I was contemplating doing a comedy-only list but recently enjoyed “Leap Of Faith” so much I just had to put it in there making this an overall Steve Martin top 10.

I agree with you on Little Shop – that’s arguably his best comedy performance but I may keep it for a cameos top 10 or something.

Fantastic list. Rather enjoyed his dramtic work in “The Spanish Prisoner” and even though it was more of a cameo, who can forget him as the sadistic Orin Scrivello from ‘Little Shop of Horrors?’

Cheers Ross. I agree “All Of Me” is a cracker, one of his best. Yet it seems to be one of those films that many haven’t seen. I like Big Business, another good 80s comedy. It goes hand in hand with a couple of other Bette Midler middle-eighties comedies – Outrageous Fortune, and the brilliant Ruthless People.

cracking list. i think Bowfinger’s a little high but good to see All Of Me in there – Lily Tomlin great at bodyswapping/playing twins – see Big Business.
i would probably have Man with two brains at the top and cant believe you left out Dead Men Dont Wear Plaid and Little Shop, but all in all thats a pretty stonking set of movies.
