Top 10 films inspired by British TV comedy

Actor, writer, director and one part of comedy team Broken Lizard Jay Chandrasekhar brings us The Babymakers. Out to own on DVD and Download October 1st, the film sees happily married couple Tommy (Paul Schneider) and Audrey (Olivia Munn) find that they can’t have a baby after Tommy discovers he’s firing blanks. Tommy decides to enlist the help of his friends to help him stage a heist and steal back a semen sample he donated years before to a sperm bank.

Hence the tagline “Knocked Up meets Ocean’s 11″ this bumbling set of amateur thieves set about taking back what is “rightfully” Tommy’s. The films stars Olivia Munn (The Newsroom, Magic Mike, Iron Man 2), Paul Schneider (Water For Elephants, Lars and the Real Girl, Parks and Recreation), Aisha Taylor (Friends, 24, CSI) and Nat Faxon (Bad Teacher). Director Jay Chandrasekhar is also behind Super Troopers, Club Dread and Beerfest.
