Top 10 Films is nominated for Best Blogathon in the 2012 Lammy Awards. Thanks to all who voted for the site – you lovely people!

I’ve been a Lamb for nearly three years (I think) – I’m Lamb #441 – and have enjoyed, throughout that time, discovering new sites and championing my favourites through the annual Lammys. However, Top 10 Films has never been nominated before so it was a wonderful feeling to find out the Houdini Magic Ticket blogathon from last year put the site alongside the cream of The Lamb crop!

Many thanks to the guys at The Large Association of Movie Blogs, especially Dylan (from Man I Love Films), Nick (from Random Ramblings of a Demented Doorknob), Courtney (from Big Thoughts from a Small Mind), Alan (from The Great Movie Project), and Joel (from Deny Everything) who announced the nominees on Lambcast #117.

It is a well deserved nomination. Best of luck to you and keep up the great work. I nominated this site in a few categories so I expect you will get even more nominations next year.

I joined The LAMB just before you and this will be my second ever nomination. Though it feels like the first truly earned one as last year I was nominated in the best blog name category.

I very rarely participate in blogathons, but that one was an exception. It was just too fun to resist. Accordingly I was one of those to nominate you. Apparently I wasn’t the only one to think this way. Grats!

@Jessica: Thanks Jessica. I rarely participate in them either but I’m trying to change that as they are a great way of networking as well as being fun to put together.

Congrats with the nomination, Dan! For some reason, I missed participating in your wonderful blogathon, I could see it was a lot of fun to take part in from what I saw.

I’m shocked Filmplicity/DWC’s Morality Bites blog-a-thon didn’t get nominated at LAMMY’s, everyone seemed to take part, maybe a question of timing, June 2011 is so long ago now?
